Black-capped chickadee
It seems like once Deecmber begins ths black-capped chickadees are even friendlier than they were in spring, summer and fall. They live in hope that the humans will treat them to "fast food" at their feeders.

Squirrels spend hours under the feeders hoping to salvage the dregs other birds have discarded,

These are just awesome critters to see!
What a sweet chickadee! Our squirrels hang out near the bird feeder also.
Cute little Chickadees , this time of year our garden is busy with Blue Tits helping themselves to the Nut tray.
Sheila Great Shots.
Friendly indeed. At our other house they would feed right from my hand. Here in our new place I rarely see any Black-capped Chickadees. I miss them.
Beautiful series. The bird was so nice.

I can see why that bird is called "black-capped." That makes sense 'cause it has a black cap on its head!
Grey squirrels are cute but drive me nuts. They eat all the birdseed.
We have lots of Canadian geese down here...well, they're not here yet but soon. They like our golf course but they don't play golf on it.
Wonderful shots. The chickadees are easiest for me to photograph when we have snow because that's the one time I always put food out for them and they aren't shy when they need extra fuel.
Great critters, love the chickadees but who can resist the antics of the squirrels?
Those little "fluffs" of feathers on his side add to his cuteness!
Great set of captures! The colors are beautiful.
What lovely captures of the feathered ones. Each one a beauty.
The chickadees are gathering at the feeders, as are the squirrels! I have a seperate feeder for the squirrels which keeps them away from the birdfeeders. Great shots!
Lovely photos EG..it made me think of the muskrats we had here until the mink came. The bank has not been repopulated yet and it has been almost 2 years now....Michelle
Wonderful captures.
