Swamp/Shadow Shots

 Cattail leaves and shadows

I was standing on a birdwatching platform when I noticed these shadows on alagae growing on top of the water. Cattail leaves are graceful, don't you agree?

I love cattails - have always wished I could have some growing...and there was a little bird at the base of the reeds in that last photo! Very nice catch!

Lovely shadow captures. It does look like a birdie habitat. Have a great weekend!

Love the lines too in these shots (and echoing MMT's sentiment!).

It seems that nature presents the best shadows of all! Great find!

It's not a Florida swamp, but it still has some charm. Heh, heh.

we don't often think of water as an incubator of plants, but here you show us that flora can grow on the water as well as the land. Algae seems to be a floating plant...cool shadows, the algae texture like a carpet for the cattail shadows. It is a beautiful slice of nature!

I love the actual cattails too. Lots of algae there.

Super shots! One of my nieces once tried to walk on algae - getting a ducking and a soaking as a consequence!!

Cool shadow shot! This is the one thing in which you and I differ...you really notice shadows and I very seldom do. I wish I would start noticing them more cause you always get some cool shots.
