Sharon Temple in winter, East Gwillimbury, Ontario
Built between 1825 and 1832, the Sharon Temple is now a national historic site. It was constructed by a small sect or former Quakers who called themselves the Children of Peace who used this building once a month to collect money and items for local people living in poverty.

After the sect's founder died in 1856, the group slowly diminished and the building began to fall apart. Fortunately in 1917, a local historical society decided to restore it and now, along with other buildings on this site, it's a museum.
It's also a National Peace Site. Because the temple boasts of amazing acoustics, classical music concerts are often held here, five this year on Sunday afternoons between May 29 and June 26.
