The first word that comes to mind is "rustic."
I especially love the first one, with the wagon wheels. I like the circles of the wheels contrasted with the horizontal lines of the side of the house. The spokes add an interesting design as well.
I picture someone peeking out that small window to see if all is clear to go outside, or if the bad guys are still out there.
too much coffee this morning, I guess!
Perfect---perfect for sepia.
The first one looks like right out of the old west and the second more woodsy up in the mts. type.
I love 'em. PERFECT!!!!
You got a knack, EG. MB
I just love your barn/country scenes, EG. With the right about the history of the area they are in, they would make a lovely regional picture book.
Nicely done, as usual. Makes one think, though, that perhaps the "good old days" weren't all that good! It was tough pulling water from a well and using an outhouse and trying to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer...
I like them both. Very creative. Valerie
this is a perfect subject for sepia--so charming. I love these rustic scenes.
Lovely "old" scenery.
These are super! And perfect choices for sepia!
I'm very weak for this kind of subject. These photos have a story to tell.
PS Regarding method: Have you tried shooting in RAW and converting in Camera RAW (part of PS). It gives you much better control - and is easier.
Such photos give a sense of timelessness - wonderful!
Beautiful to see these photos when most are in colour these days.
Thanks for your comment.

These are wonderful, EG. I especially love that first.
This house of logs has its rustic charms. The look is of something that was built of stout materials destined to last a long time. Of course a single fireplace to keep warm with drafts everywhere, and I assume an outhouse too...a tough way to live in winter in the great white north. Still it is quire charming...
Great sh0t sepia,my first time to j0in here h0pe y0u can view mine,thanks
One of those perfect images for Sepia.
